FAQs

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is a solution that is applied topically to the skin to help exfoliate dead skin cells. Depending on what an individual’s goals are for their skin, there are different chemical peels that can be used to target active acne, cystic acne, acne scars, brown spots, and melasma. The different blend of ingredients works to exfoliate dead skin cells as well as to help mildly resurface the skin’s surface to reveal a brighter and more even skin texture. By exfoliating the outermost layer of skin, deeper layers of untouched skin can move to the surface, triggering a healthy rejuvenation process. Chemical peels can smooth uneven texture, even out skin tone, improve signs of aging, and clear acne to make a dull complexion glow.
